Loyal Christian Benefit Association is devoted to service and charitable giving. To provide this service at the local level, all LCBA members become a part of a branch in their community. A branch performs community service and holds fundraising activities. In some areas, branches join together to form a senate of branch officers to combine experience and knowledge and to bring their members together for fundraising and volunteer efforts. Support of Christian education is another initiative of LCBA carried out through scholarships at the national level and local level fundraisers and volunteer hours. Most branches have other causes for which they volunteer and fundraise. Originally begun in churches, many branches continue to have a direct tie to and support their local churches and church schools. Others have become more eclectic in their support of various charities, schools and individuals for whom members have compassion. Branches have different ways of accomplishing their goals. Some members gather on a monthly basis to discuss business, plan fundraisers and ask for volunteers for specific events. Activities can have either the church or another charity as their focus. Social events are planned for members such as dinners, card parties and outings. Other branches, organized with little or no social outlet, are focused solely on existing volunteers who already do fundraising and charity work. Meetings are held specifically to further their volunteering efforts and are held on an as needed basis. Branches may earn a financial gift from LCBA based on completed activities. The gift is given directly to the Branch’s church or charity. A Branch Officer web site is an electronic means of support supplied by LCBA that streamlines record keeping and member contact. LCBA takes pride in its involvement in the grassroots work of our member volunteers who affect the world in a positive, Christian way.
