Overview
LCBA recognizes the fact that often it is necessary or desirable to pre-arrange a funeral and that often the need to fund those arrangements is driven by the need to help qualify for Medicaid benefits. Our pre-arrangement \funding products can be irrevocably assigned to a funeral home to meet Medicaid guidelines so your funds are protected from Medicaid "Spend-down". We also see many situations where individuals choose to make and fund their funeral pre-arrangements as a "last gift" to the family, to avoid arguments between surviving family members, or to make sure their funeral is done "their way".
We have two products designed to provide the optimum tax deferred growth for your funds:
Futura Insurance Plan
Our Futura Insurance plan is a specially designed life insurance plan for funding funeral pre-arrangements. Futura plans include single premium and multi-pay or installment plans with up to 10 years to pay. Our installment plans have a "same as cash" feature that allows early payoff within a limited period of time. These plans can be obtained on individuals in relatively good health from age 36 to 85. Single premium plans require that only one simple health question be answered; our installment plans require a second health question.
Our Guardian tax deferred annuity is an open account that can accept a single premium or payments over time and is designed for individuals who cannot qualify for our insurance plans because they fall outside of the age range, have health issues, or are unable to commit to making a contribution to their funding program on a regular basis. Guardian Annuities provide for guaranteed growth so unlike funeral trusts, your money always grows.
Guardian Tax Deferred Annuity
Both of our Pre-Arrangement funding products provide competitive growth on a tax deferred basis. While the growth on our life insurance products cannot by law be guaranteed, these products have a long history of providing competitive growth.
